How to request a webinar

SOT Council has recently reviewed the current process for requesting webinar funding and has made some updates to the process beginning on the first day of the new SOT fiscal year, July 1, 2019.
Beginning on July 1, component groups will no longer need to request webinar funding through the funding application process as SOT has allocated funds for up to four webinars per year, per component group. If you plan to have more than four webinars during the fiscal year (July 1-June 30), please contact me and we can discuss next steps.
While you will not need to request funding, it is necessary to submit a webinar scheduling request 4-6 weeks in advance in order to adequately prepare and promote your event. The request form is located on ToXchange in the SOT Reference Files under the Leadership Roles and Reference Guides Library. SOT’s webinar team will facilitate setting up the logistics of your Webinar event. Once the call is set up, we will provide call-in and registration information as needed for distribution to your membership. I will be happy to work with you to publicize your webinar to maximize attendance.
Please note that your webinar topic should align with the mission of your component group or produced in collaboration with a group or committee whose scope is in alignment with the topic. For example, if you are a Regional Chapter or Specialty Section interested in producing a career development webinar, you should contact SOT’s Education and Career Development Committee (ECDC) to collaborate on the webinar.
